Sabah.
1st March.
The first day of my 6 days trip to Sabah. And the first place to visit is, Tawau.

I've gotta admit AirAsia's air stewardess are hawt. :P
Tawau is a rather small and boring town, not to say the hotel sucks too.
Nothing to shop, nothing to be photographed.
I think the only unique thing here is, there is no Bangla :).
But alot of philipinos and indonesians. :(
Okay lah, serious abit.
Gotta admit it is worth to come here for Makan.

Everyone smiling lepas makan :P. Gotta admit they have some of the
freshest seafood here !
But the price is not cheap at all ! It's almost as expensive as the food in KL !
And this makes me wonder how the people here survive.
I was walking down a lot of shops in Tawau and saw a restaurant hiring part-timers.
The pay is AS LOW AS HELL, I'm goddam serious.
Waiter/Waitress - RM250 Per month.
Okay lah lets say let you walk to work, no need transportation fee. RM25 for 3 meals per day(The food here sometimes are more expensive than KL ! ).
Abang, 1 week 3 days sudah habis gaji lah !
I tell you now if my mom give me allowance RM500 per month I also dunno I enough use anot.
Maybe thats the reason why lots of people here works in KL.
Conclusion : My first and last trip here. And YOU ! shall never ever visit this place.
2nd March
Got up early in the morning and flew to Kota Kinabalu
I was suppose to carry the airplane.
Cousin doesn't noe how to aim ! Noob Chiyan !
Kota Kinabalu is a much better place,
It's so much more alive here, compared to Tawau lah ofcourse.
And everyone seem so over-excited, especially the elder ones. No idea why !

the excited "young lady"
Had Lunch @ Little Italy and had a walk around the town. Nothing much for today.
It should be a relaxing day as tommorow we will be preparing our journey to the top of
Mount Kinabalu :P

Nikon 50mm 1.8D Lens.
Gong hei fatt choi !
Sorry people for going M.I.A for almost 4 months now. I think it's time to keep my blog updated =x
Let me introduce you people to my new buddy :D
Meet the Nikon 50mm f/1.8D Lens
This is where all my angpao money goes. But it definitely worth the money.
I'm so amazed by what this tiny lens can do. everyone who tried it does.
It has the size of a mouse but the power of an elephant!
It works extremely good in low lights (Due to its low F-stops)
and the photo can never be any sharper !
It is a potrait lens but it comes in useful in any other kind of photos.

This picture is shot in a room with almost no lights
and is shot without flash !

The "bokeh" is what Aperture lens are known for.

It throws everything else out of focus except for your subject.
Getting all the attentions straight to ur subject.
Why you should get the Nikon AF Nikkor 50mm f/1.8 D. :-
- It sells for only rm390++
- It is among Nikon's sharpest lenses ever.
- Works extremely well in low lights
- Amazing Depth-of-field
- Light and tiny, easy to carry around
motor, so it is best use on a camera with a built in auto-focus.
PS: Hey people, I've created a Facebook page for my photography.

Shutterspeeds
Some of my college assignments.
Fast shutter speed ( on the top ) freezes the movements of the water. The water droplets can be clearly seen.
Slow shutter speed ( on the bottom ) creates dreamy effects. The movement of the water was captured into the picture. A tripod is your best friend shooting pictures like this to prevent hand shakes.

Freedom !
Hi world. Today ill be showing you guys how free I am !
This is our sketch !
And now we're currently working on this part of the body !
And for this part of the body, we have to build 14 of these
And to put them together to look something like this
And every 1 of this
Takes us 30 - 45 minutes to complete
And to put each one of them together like this
Eats up another 15 - 20 minutes
And so the time we will be using to finish this part is
30minutes x14 = 420minutes
+
15minutes x14 = 210minutes
= 630minutes.
Which is a minimum of 10hours and 30minutes of non-stop consistent working.
But, thats still not the end.
Because thats only ONE part.
We still have all these parts to do

Photography : Aperture
There are 3 key elements in photography you need to know before you can start taking pictures in manual mode with your SLRs. And they are :-
Aperture
- Aperture
- Shutter Speed
- ISO
And Today I will be talking about Aperture !
Aperture refers to the lens diaphragm opening inside a photographic lens, in other words it works like the Iris in the human eye. The bigger the lens diaphragm, the more light enters the camera.
(This also explains why human tend to close their eye under
bright sunlight, preventing more light to enter their eye.
And also why iris grows larger in the dark, which allows human to see in dark spaces)
Aperture size is usually calculated with f-numbers or f-stops, ie f/22, f/16, f/11 and so on. The Larger the aperture is, the smaller the lens diaphragm gets.
Example.
(Smaller F-numbers stands for bigger lens diaphragm)
(Vice Versa)
It doesn't stops there. Aperture can also create DOF (depth-of-field). In some cases, if having everything sharp ( The object and background ) will make the picture looks better, then a large Aperture/DOF is appropriate. In other cases, small Aperture/DOF may be more effective, emphasizing the object while blurring the background.
Examples.
(Shot at F3.5, focuses on the object while blurring everything else.)
(Shot at F22, everything in the image appears to be sharp.)
